Five generations of family and community

Sather's: Part of the Community

The Sather family believes not only in being in the community, but part of the community as well.

"We have always believed in the community where we live. Growing up, everything that we bought, from grills to washing machines to cars, was bought in our community. My father never permitted us to buy outside the community. He saw the whole picture, — the real vision of a community. He knew by shopping locally, we were supporting our neighbors and friends. It supported our schools, police, fire protection etc. His vision reached beyond the next dollar earned. To this day, I shop where I live and work. It is one of the many wise lessons he taught me about loving your customers in a notso- obvious way."

Contributions:

The Sathers take an active part in events and charities throughout the area, supporting the schools, rodeos, charities such as the Lydia Dody Hope Lives Foundation, the Namaqua Center, the Poudre Valley Hospital Foundation, Fort Collins Junior League and many others.

Julie Sather designs and donates the crowns for the Larimer County Fair and Rodeo Royalty.

"The royalty have been such a pleasure to get to know each year. I have managed to recruit the 2005-2006 Queen to work for me. Now that we have a free standing location, we hoped to get more involved with the 4-H and Royalty programs by having community events for children on the days leading up to the Fair and Rodeo each year,"
- Julie Sather

Along with the Larimer County crowns, Sather's also designs and donates crowns for all Fort Collins, Loveland, Windsor and Berthoud Homecomings. They also participate in educational seminars and career days for the high schools in Fort Collins and Loveland.

Their community participation even reaches the beasts on the ground and birds in the sky with the Humane Society and the Rocky Mountain Raptor Program.

"We are heavily involved in the Fort Collins area. It is staggering, the amount of the different programs and charities that we participate in on a regular basis. These are our customers, people that we consider part of our family."
- Sid Sather
